Bilawal and West talk about a stable and peaceful Afghanistan

34 news; In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan informed about the meeting between Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Thomas West, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Affairs.

The Foreign Minister of Pakistan was quoted as saying that “Peaceful, stable and prosperous Afghanistan is one of Pakistan’s priorities”.

According to the newsletter of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, the meeting was held in New York, in which the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan emphasised the importance of continuing international interaction with the Taliban government for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan and beyond.

Pakistan’s foreign ministry said that Thomas West, the US special representative for Afghanistan, appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace and stability in Afghanistan and facilitating the evacuation.

It has also been said that in this meeting, the two sides acknowledged the need to continue cooperation on common goals, continuous efforts, and the participation of the international community to reduce the pain and suffering of the Afghan people and promote regional peace and stability.
