Pentagon to hire Afghan pilots for Ukraine, Russian media says

34 News; A Russian military source said that the United States Department of Defense is recruiting Afghan pilots who were transferred to the United States a year ago for Ukraine and that their training is underway in California.

This source said: “As we know, the Pentagon has started hiring former Afghan pilots who went to America a year ago. Their training will begin in California, and there are plans to send them all to Ukraine via Poland.”

Tass news agency, which did not reveal the identity of the source, wrote that after completing the training, a contract will be signed with these forces to be sent to the war in Ukraine.

This source added that the plan will be implemented not only for former pilots but also for other Afghan nationals who served in special forces units.

Some media had previously reported on the deployment of former Afghan military forces in the Ukraine war.
