Half of Afghanistan’s population needs humanitarian aid, OCHA

OCHA said that this year, 4.4 billion dollars of financial resources were requested to help 22 million people in Afghanistan; But after nine months, only 43% of this request has been granted.

Earlier this year, OCHA requested 4.4 billion dollars to address the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and help the people of this country, which is the largest annual request for a country in the world.

It should be mentioned that this year, a lot of aid has been provided by aid organisations to Afghanistan, but even so, according to the statistics published by these organisations, six million people in Afghanistan are on the brink of food crisis and hunger.
